Bob is the Founder and Managing Partner of L2 Capital and serves as the firm’s coach and senior investment advisor, bringing decades of perspective, deep investing experience, and a passion for developing talent. Since founding L2 in 2011 to invest his own capital in founder-led businesses, Bob has shaped the firm’s ethos: value creation through hands-on partnership, integrity, and respect for the people behind the businesses.
Bob continues to serve as a trusted mentor to the L2 team, active investor, and a strategic board chair and advisor across the portfolio, offering insight rooted in over 30 years of experience in private equity and middle-market M&A.
Before L2, Bob co-founded Milestone Partners in 1995, helping grow it into a successful buyout firm with over $350 million under management, focusing on Consumer Products and Business Services. Earlier in his career, he executed M&A transactions for niche manufacturers and distributors at Lehman Brothers and several boutique investment banks. He also practiced business law in Denver.
Bob holds a B.A. from Northwestern University, a J.D. from George Washington University, and an M.B.A. with distinction from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
