Rob began his career in franchising in 2002 as a franchisee of The Cleaning Authority. In 2005, Rob joined the franchisor and eventually became the CEO in 2014. He remains today a multi-unit franchisee of The Cleaning Authority. In 2017, Rob led the formation of Authority Brands and oversaw the company’s evolution as the leading multi-brand services franchisor. Rob and his team executed eleven brand acquisitions, led the business through a whole business securitization, oversaw substantial gains in unit counts, system sales, and earnings growth, and took the company through a successful exit from ownership by PNC Riverarch Equity and subsequent investment by Apax Partners. He left his role as CEO in late 2022, as Apax Partners transitioned the business to another Apax fund and brought in an additional financial partner. Rob remains as an investor in Authority Brands.
Rob joined Boxwood Partners in February 2023, to assist them with their continued ascendance as the franchise industry’s leading M&A advisory. He works with clients to position their companies for successful ownership transition and investment with private equity and strategic sponsors. He also continues to invest and work alongside PE sponsors, franchisors, and franchisees across multiple industries.
Rob has a Bachelor of Arts from Dickinson College and an MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management.
